F$&! Labor and the Greens. Line their own pockets whilst the "working families" who's interests they supposedly have at heart, suffer even more. Let's not forget there'll be GST on that too.

We are already recycling our package waste in yellow bins and the cost for this is being covered by the ever increasing council rates.

So I can only assume here another money grabbing scam.... probably to cover the expenses
of the boat ppl created by a decadent procrastinating government.

Spot on. Almost every household in metro australia has a recycling bin, so almost all plastic should be realistically being recycled. So why another tax ?

FFS this government is greedy the sooner they are booted the better, our local council charge us $60 annually on our rates to collect recycled goods, I might take my wheelie bin to the recycle place just to see what I would be paid per bin load, my guess is council is making huge profit from my goods, so I might send them a bill

Firstly, based on the articles, it's a scheme the Greens are pushing and reading what Labor has said, I doubt it will support it.

Secondly, have a close look at the Liberals policy and taxes and you'll find that their plans will cost everyday households even more.

Scrutiny and analysis needs to be done on both parties' policies.

Scrutiny and analysis needs to be done on why we are where we are....

And why are these taxes necessary? To help the government pay the massive debt they have incurred since they took power. And to shore up the support of the loonies who they depend on to cling to power.

$60 billion surplus to what? $280 billion debt? I don't know the exact figure....but its big. And what do we have to show for it? SFA, that's what. At least the NBN is infrastructure, although whether its necessary is still debatable.

Coalition policies will have to be harsh to pay off the debt. Just like is happening in the states. And just like happened last time the Coalition took power federally. They have the bonus of being able to flat out lie to the electorate too, courtesy of Julia and her supporters.

Doesn't matter if liberal or labor, it is a loose - loose situation for the simple citizen.
