With all the muslim related threads lately and mostly the same content in them one could wonder what an answer to the question "What do you have against muslims?" would be.
Even with some good friends that use a small carpet several times a day I would have to think twice about the right answer.
Of course as a good Australian citizen I should answer "ME?? I have nothing against them, we a cultural diverse country and they are a great part of our community.".
But under friends and after a few beer I would most likely answer "Chainsaws, baseball batts, pointy screwdrivers, big rocks, crowbars.....".
It is strange how the ongoing actions of a small minority within the muslim religion can cause a feeling of disgust against all muslims in everyone of us.

Somehow it reminds me on how the catholic church started.
On one side you have nice sisters and priests that study and help people in need, while on the other side of the ocean "wild people" are killed in the name of christ to get their riches or simply because they already have a god they won't give up.
We might be to modern for the killing part on a wide scale but apart from than I don't see too much difference LOL

That clip is a perfect example of why to have something against them.

In the UK they had slowly moved into certain suburbs, as they bought the houses, more of them moved in, eventually the Christians in the area were watching their house values drop, as the area became a muslim ghetto they had problems trying to get something worthwhile for their homes to get out of there.

I have a Leb one next door, he certainly does not like it when i throw pork chops on the barbie and the smoke is heading his way.

How did the new muslim neighbour have it his way in this story ?
He expressed his personal view & the pig farmer expressed his.
The pig farmer doesn't have to comply to his new neighbour's beliefs or wishes & he clearly is not going to ... for now ... perhaps until he gets some sort of cash incentive to shut shop.

Aboriginals - what do I think about them?
Well, to make short I would love to spent a few weeks in the NT to live with them and learn from them.
Their "religion" is not more true than other but they have an understanding of this land that we modern people simply will never get.
Sometimes I really wonder why so many Aussies only bad thoughts for them - we came here, stole their land, killed and repressed them but still most people think they are sooo much better
We could have learned so much but instead we brought our world here and tried to use technology to make the land habitable for us

I grew up in a Croatian household, the number 1 meat for us is pork, i still eat other meats but always prefer pork.

Neighbor ended up putting up clear plastic roll up screens around his veranda to keep it out, as soon as i light the barbie they all end up scurrying inside and closing the windows to avoid the smell.

they are scared they may actually enjoy it, gave guy at school some telling him it was lamb and he enjoyed it so much he asked next time i had some if he could have more

The minority of Muslims might be the majority of the problem, but the majority of the Muslims do NOTHING to stop it. To the OP; They bought the land, knowing that there was a well established pig farm next door and then "requested" the pig farm move? I might just have to try that... buy a block of land next to a mosque and then request that they move before I build my "church" (call it a pub, footy oval, Christian Church, or whatever they don't like, heck, even set up a pig farm!!!!)

Wouldn't bother me a bit, smelling it or eating it either on Good Friday.

Not Croatian Nationalism, more like Balkan Christian attitude, from both Serbs, Croats and christian Bosnians.

Another area that puts up with whats happening around the world, only they are 100's of years in front of the picture...still does not work, still conflicts....

Trying to create a Muslim state in Europe, which is the end objective anywhere they settle, including here.

Anywhere there is a Muslim state or country, Christians are oppressed, unlike Christians who give and inch, they (Muslims) take a mile by force if necessary, they give nothing once in power, if they dont get more rights they get violent.

You are aware Bosnia was a state where all 3 groups lived comfortably together, this was controlled by a dictator (Tito)who kept them under control, out of line and it was prison or a bullet.

You may want to read up on the early Balkan wars and ottoman empire.



Let not forget the uprising in Macedonia by the Albanian liberation army in the modern war, they rose up and started fighting because they wanted greater rights there too.

One thing you seem to be missing, where ever Muslims go they eventually want things their way or once their numbers have built, war to gain it, they will continue this way until the whole world has converted to Islam and will not rest until it is that way.

So why did Christian Serbs & Christian Croats slaughter each other in probably every Balkan war ?

Why were so many innocent civilian's slaughtered from every faith (mostly muslim) ?

My point is, bigoted attitudes can only lead to disaster. Respect and be respected regardless of who you are or where you've come from. Don't brush everyone with the same brush because of the insignificant few bad eggs.

I would think to my self geez that smells good and fire up my bbq next day. instead of scrambling my family inside

My neighbours do it all the time I don't think it disrespectful at all.

Hope my neighbours got smell of this today because I can tell you I wasn't going to stop cooking it for anyone

The point of my post was that they accepted the pig farm next door during the approval phase of their application to build the Mosque.
As soon as they got their way, they wanted the pig farm removed.
