Have a listen to the youtube clip and make your own mind up as to what he said. Do Channel 9 and the AFL think we are total idiots by claiming it was taken out of context ? Its pretty clear what he said and Sam knew it which is why he backpeddled mighty fast. If I was Brayshaw I would have ripped in to him when he told him to shutup.
Its pretty clear what the audience thought due to their reaction when he said it.

I'm a woman and laugh at Sam's comments, knowing damn well he's just humouring poeple as a part of the show. I say to all those who complain and kick up a fuss whenever he opens his mouth to not bloody watch the show. Otherwise learn to take a joke and live a little!

Instead of backpeddling , bullshitting and speaking rudely to his co hosts he could at least admit to what he does. I dont think all co hosts have to immediately back Sam because they are his mates as suggested in the comments above. Its obvious 2 think he is a total dickhead.
I no longer watch the show because its boring. Seeing a 62 year old man making sex and fart jokes every week doesnt interest me. If thats what they want to do thats fine , just dont treat the public like we are some sort of gullible idiots.
You dont watch it but you post a thread about him hoping to create more negitive feedback just coz you dont like him.to many people have a dry sense of humour on this site.

i didnt know he was anything but.
I dont watch it anymore ( its run its race as far as I am concerned ) but I do watch and read the news. I also dont watch NRL ( nor support it ) but I read and see it in the news every day.
I have no need to create " negative feedback " about him , he creates enough on his own without any help from me or anyone else.
My " negative feedback " as you call it is aimed at people like Gary Lyon , Channel 9 and Andrew Demetriou who seemingly think we are all gullible enough to believe that he didnt make a sexist comment about her. If Channel 9 seriously dont like his comments they should get rid of him once and for all. If they want him to keep making them to try and attract ratings ( they need them ) , they should just let him go for it. They cant have it both ways and insult the intelligence of viewers by claiming it was taken out of context when it wasnt. He made the comment very clearly , the audience reaction showed how the comment was intended. Newman then shit himself when he realised that he had done it again and was rude to other panel members.
All TV shows come to an end eventually and both the AFL and NRL footy shows are struggling to attract decent ratings. Last week I watched the Aboriginal version of the Footy show and thought it was quite good

The next generation of footballers would already think Newman is a big mouth with stuff all between the ears as well as the legs.
He is routinely hiding behind the sensationalism gimmick to disguise an obvious lack of talent on television.
His acting and presentation wouldn't even make the first heat of a talent quest.
Would anyone PAY to see him?....I doubt it.
I used to watch that show every week, stopped watching it at all about 4 years ago.....he (sam) is the reason I cant stand the show anymore.
Sam has been doing these antics since the show began in 1995 and all of a sudden these feminists come out of the wood work to complain.If you don't like it switch off.Some of us here like to have a good laugh on a Thursday evening.
Sam is the star of the show and without him the show will be boring and will not last.Keep up the good work Sam.
