Why do some creeks STINK? Hey, living in the bush, we have alot of creeks around the area, most dont smell, but some smell REALLY BAD, what are the actual reasons for this? Mud often stinks too, I suspect it's for the same reason.

Lack of oxygen in the water - that kills a lot of other life living in there, which adds to the smell..
If you are talking about the rotten egg smell when you turn up the mud in the creeks, that is hydrogen sulphide which is created when organic matter is "digested" by anaerobic bacteria.
Humans can produce it too when there is an imbalance with their digestive bacteria... I... err... know that from personal experience.
