I'm in Brisbane near bushland. Have noticed a huge decline in Huntsman since the Asian Gecko arrived.

Is it true that these lizards invade your house?

    Yes.

If you let them. Screens keep them out, but any that somehow get into our place are quickly caught and turfed out, they are a cute little fellow that provide hours of amusement on the screens at night by catching any sort of a bug that lands nearby, battles between Asian House Geckos over food and turf are amusing as well. They have a happy "chuck chuck chuck" call. They are nocturnal although you do see them about in the daytime sometimes.

They do a good job of keeping the bugs down, the amount of flies around here have certainly decreased since I started noticing Asian House Geckos about, I live in Brisbane within sight of the Boondall wetlands and the numbers of native Geckos around the house don't seem to have been impacted at all.

There are certainly plenty about. I have heard some people complain bitterly about them. Also known for getting into computers & air conditioners and causing damage. They leave a lot of crap around on window sills.
