Instructions
To save a certain someone reposting this off another forum here's a step by step:

****WARNING**** - Make sure you have got a full working back up copy - or use a new memory card !!!!!

Create new folder on C drive - name it Keygen.

Add the two files - Meta.txt, tt7_keygen.exe and your v7 map folder, in this example I'll use the Australia_Map_v700.1491 map

c:\Keygen\Meta.txt (file)

c:\Keygen\tt7_keygen.exe (file)

c:\Keygen\Australia_Map_v700.1491(folder)

Start your Command Prompt :-
Start -> run -> cmd -> OK

Type in :-
cd C:\KeyGen click ”Enter”

Type in :-
tt7_keygen.exe Australia_Map_v700.1491 ABCDE12345 (Replace this with YOUR DeviceID)

Press ENTER
You should then see OK - if not then you have got something wrong.

Important: To creat a working .DCT Write your DeviceID without Space in the middle and use CAPS.

Unzip the file named 'Patch' to a folder on your PC

Copy your file named 'ttsystem' from your Tomtom Memory Card in this folder with all the Patch files.

Run the 'RunMe.bat' (Double click on it), wait, you have now a ttsystem and a ttsystem.old, copy the file named 'ttsystem' back to your Memory Card.

Put memory card back into your Tomtom, it will take a few minutes to boot up, then you should now be able to see the new V7 map.

I got a TT ONE XL and I just had to copy the 2 Speed Cameras file into the map folder

The DLL is a patch version of the TT Home DLL file that will allow TThome to recognise v7 maps installed on your TT when you use the Operate My TomTom feature in TT home

2) The filename followed this nomenclature:

For version 2.2.0.33 or 2.2.1.58 of TT HOME and Navcore 7.163, the following was true:
1) DLL was in the following directory:
C:\Documents and Settings\<your user name here>\Application Data\TomTom\HOME\Profiles\h0gruozz.default\extensi ons\Navcore.7.163.8493@tomtom.com\
2) The filename followed this nomenclature:
7-163-8493-3.dll

C:\Program Files\TomTom HOME 2\xul\plugins\emulator\navcore

Worked fine with 700.1491.
When I try tt7_keygen with 705.1485 I get msg: 'Australia-6.meta' - OK
There is no such map in keyfile 'Meta.txt'
I used the meta.txt downloaded from from the link provided by chevy

This routine with keygen etc seems to work with the Western europe map also....
Would not all fit onto a 1gb card without deleting the Aussie map tho....

it would help if Tomtom instructions in print or on website gave a bit more info about their product - like it won't boot with a blank Sd card in the slot, and you have to do a "restore" to get all the system files onto it first!!!!
Why they can't tell you you this simple stuff is beyond me!!!!

Hi,

I am looking for some help. In the spirit of giving to receive I would like to offer everybody a working copy of version 7.0 build 1498, which I think is current set of maps, here :

(Host will not accept files greater than 100mb. Just download files and unzip to the same directory)

I bought my TomTom One V3 in the US in January this year and the unit came with maps of Quam, the US and Canada preload.

I am attempting to install the Australian maps and appreciate they detailed guidance that has been set out here. My challenge is that this advice appears to be based on having an existing SD. card which is being up upgraded rather than how to create a working SD.

I have attempted to create a working on a 2GB San Disk SD configuration but it isn't working. I copied all of the files from the internal memory together with the Australian map but when I boot up the unit with the SD card -- it does not see the Australian maps just US and Quam.

I would really appreciate some details as to the files, and anything else that the SD card should have and what needs to be changed and where so that the system seess the Australian maps (and European maps for later on year when I install them).

Looking forward to your help and support.

Have a bit of a read of post # 61...

but here is a summary of what you need to do:

Backup your existing SD card somewhere - any stuff-ups & you can always go back to the original files without any dramas.
[Patch your 'ttsystem' file] - if required - follow instructions from post #61
Register the Australia Map 'you' have, to 'your' TomTom - again using instructions from post #61(they have prevented people from just being able to take a card from one unit, then trying to use it in someone else's)
Change you 'CurrentMap.dat' file to reflect the Austalia folder as well. (Not quite sure how/if you do this as I have only seen one map used at a time) - should be either able to ADD Australia or CHANGE it to Australia.
Voila - should be 'job done'

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't think you understand my problem which is I do not have a TomTom SD - I am trying to create one and need to know what files the SD should hold and then how to add/register additional maps

You obviously did something wrong, it works fine.

extract the zip file...copy the .cab file to your pda, open up file explorer, browse to the .cab file and tap it.
