| Junior Member | Hey guys, I updated my ONE XL to the latest maps and got an error "You cannot use this map on your device: Australia." on the updated map. I restored to my previous map, and got the same message. I am now downloading a map that was posted here, but shall that fail, does anyone know how to fix that problem? |

A search of this ( GPS ) forum should give you the info to do it as I followed the instructions in a post on here last week succesfully. |

| Junior Member | Do I need to update the Navcore when changing the maps? Here is a copy of the post I made at the ipmart forum: Hi guys, I stupidly tried to do this with no instruction or backup, and got the "You cannot use this map on your device: Australia" message. Now, when I follow steps 3 + 4 (as I can't do step 1 as I cant get into the device!) I get these errors when trying to use the easytousetools (automatic). When doing the 1st part of the Runforallautomatic i get: (Filename) Exist already (Filename) not activated (Filename) Exist. Used Device ID from TTGO.tif = (ID). I do not know if that is the right Device ID of my actual TomTom as I can't check now. When I run the second option in the tools I get: An unkown error happens. Can anyone help? Please! EDIT: Is there any way I can be sure that the Device ID that it is getting from TTGO.tif is correct? Or can I change that file somehow.... Anyway to just get this working! |

You could check it by inserting a blank SD card into your tomtom, go to tomtom home and update your device. Then open ttgo.bif with notepad and your device ID is there.

What I did was copy every thing off the TT onto my PC, then did the Navcore, Map, then patch / keygen map.
