Default Destinator 8 + PolNav with Ausie Maps

Ok found these two programs recently & have them both up & running on the Mio. I'm also using MioPocket to unlock my mio.

Links Below...

Destinator 8

Destinator 8 modified desticore....

Latest Ausie Map 2008 Q1 Navteq

Remember to set you GPS com port & Baud rate into Port 2, 57600 in UserData GPSTMC.ini

Now for PolNav...

Go here & scroll down to the PolNav section....it also details where to get the Ausie maps along with a heap of others....

I have both of these working on a Mio Moov 300

Happy Navigating...

Is this a replacement for the Destinator Ver. 2007.Q1.5244 which was the last Destinator map for dedicated GPS.

Just downloaded that file and seems it is exatly the same as the Destinator Ver. 2007.Q1.5244. I haven't installed but the file sizes are exactly the same.

When the new map is loaded in destinator, it claims to be Navteq 2008.Q1 V.8273 - note that this map also worked for D7 & there is some talk that D8 is just a rework of D7 anyway. I think D8 is a step ahead even if it is only small...

Also with Destinator you can have mutilple maps loaded at the same time, then you can select them thru the menu system. Do you know of any errors in your 2007.Q1.5244 that you can check if they have been fixed in the 2008 version?

Cheers

Ok thanks, I can't think of any errors off hand except when I was in Canberra and going to the war memorial, destinator says to turn left to the memorial but the road had been fenced off with guard rails :-) so can't go back and check that.

Thank for sharing this. I have a genuine GPS which can run your version Destinator 8 + map, but always "GPS signal not found". Can anyone point out what I should do?

DIVER 18 :::

You have to set your baud rate and port as stormynight said in his post .

"Remember to set you GPS com port & Baud rate into Port 2, 57600 in UserData GPSTMC.ini:

And thanks to xtyler91 for his work putting together his website and for posting those links....

It's funny to see all the places and forums that end up with links to my website. Also, I added links to the ppcwarez thread to put Sygic McGuider on your devices. I just started using it, but it's simple like PolNav. All it requires is download, unrar, copy to SD card. Instructions, as well as the links on where to get it, are in my Tutorials Forum on my website . Enjoy. And remember to always thank the original posters at ppcwarez.

I am using Destinator 8 on my Mio C310 using a custom built SystemInformation shell. I don't use the taskbar normally so it is not loaded by default. I have found that when I launch Destinator 8 it loads and works fine, however when I exit Destinator using the 'Quit' button it exits back to the shell and I finish up with an active taskbar. I have tried using the following MortScript to launch Destinator 8, and re hide the taskbar, but for some strange reason the Taskbar is not hidden after Destinator exits:

# Launch Destinator
RunWait("\Storage Card\Destinator\Destinator.exe")
Run("\Storage Card\Utils\TaskbarHide.exe")

The strange thing is I can run TaskbarHide.exe manually after Destinator has exited and the Taskbar hides correctly. I think that Destinator may be exiting without returning to the running MortScript it was launched from.

Any ideas?

Cheers, Ian

I transferred the Navteq 2008.Q1 V.8273 Australian map to my SmartNavi-I400b and selected map but have to register it otherwise won't load. What is the license key numbers?

Not sure, I suspect the apps we are using 'don't require a key...', but maybe the SmartNavi does....are you using the Destinator 8 linked in this thread?

Yes, I haven't tried changing the destcore.dll to the destcore.dll cracked_v8.0.20.21.1 one. Also I don't have in my UserData a GPSTMC.ini

It works in my SmartNavi-I400b. Erase the files and do it again.
Is anyone know how to set Destinator 8 alarms on (red, speed).
