Rapidshare is a pain in the butt, if your lucky you get happy hour and you can d/l straight away, if not and you have to wait just leave your browser open and keep refreshing and the time will count down.

Hey all

I updating my maps using the link from here a few weeks ago.

Since then I can't get a GPS signal on my Soniq, is there anything I'm donig wrong?

Hi,
This arrived in the mail this morning
I uploaded it also today

It is Destinator 7,with lots of extra poi,Like Bus lanes,Blackspots etc,
With 2008 Q1 Navteq Map.

I checked,The link takes you to it.

Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!

Thanks man, works great, but wheres the exit button once your in the program?

Sorted, downloaded and installed bluebarup-2 skin .....

Glad you got it sorted.

Its quite good when you get it all working,
Has heaps more POI than the original,and TTS works well too,
Speaking street Names,and voice warning of Upcoming POI as well.

Thx Johnno02, i dont have the Exit button either, so does the Blue skin give you an Exit button, also it would not find a gps signal with my MioC520 so at the moment i am using a older ver Dest-7 with your newer maps
One other thing i noticed is it is using a older version Destcore.dll (7.0.0.0) i tried the newer dll's i had and still no exit button or gps signal

read my post above, download and install the alternate skin, it has the exit button

Hi Jaz808,

As Newton said,Download and Install the Bluebarup-2 skin,it will fix the problem of no exit button,as well as give you a few other things.

Not sure why they used an earlier version of Destinator.

Possibly they got it cheaper,or It is more stable than the later version.

As I said in an earlier post.

I am a rank Beginner with tinkering around with all this,
What I know about modifying GPS units could be written on the head of a Pin.

Thats Strange Mate,
Maybe something to do with the Port,

I think you can do a Auto search,for the port,From what I have read different units use different ports.

I remember mine took quite a while to lock on at first,but once found,it locked on reasonably quickly after that.
Even from inside the house,where I do most of my "Tinkering"with it.

I played around with different skins and different Destcore.dll's, auto search couldnt find the internal gps but there version i was running does
All other programs i am running on the C520 all use port 2 @57600

If you open the "Configuration Settings"

You will see Port=7 (this is the port the Voxson uses)
If you change this to 2,(yours) it might work.

One other thing,in the Settings text
You will see Baud_rate=38400 This is Wrong,change to

Baud_rate=115200,

Save changes

Hi jazz yep that all the No gps Is ..wrong port and baud rate settings..I just fixed 2 units yesterday..

If you are running another software (sd card) you can find your settings from that EG destinator ini. file..

But you,ll get it sorted even I did and that something .. enjoy
