And why would I do that?
If I want to upload my files I choose the service I like.

That's very true DU, however the one he suggested looks pretty good. it duplicates it to other sites and makes more mirrors for everyone, quite personally, I hate rapidshare and some others.

I think what ausmap was ment to say is this:

Hi everyone. I found this great site that is easy to use and makes heaps of mirrors for everyone that wants to share a file. Would be great if everyone can use it

(something along those lines anyway lol)

Well ,I understand what he is trying to do ,but as far as I could check the service it works like this :
You upload a file and select where it will be uploaded to.
    So far so good.
Then they copy the files to all the other hosters for you.
Good : safes you time and a lot of you MB (which is also good because we don't have a real flatrate in AU)
Bad : you have no control and no safety what they do with your data and IP
After that you get a link to post which contains all info for the other filehosters.
    Good : more to choose.
Bad : Again no redirector or safety possible for the filehosters.

I understand that this sounds nice and easy ,but what about people who have some new files or put a lot of work into something?
You the worst bit for this service (only my personal opinion!!!) :
They make the money with your files because they are uploaded to their accounts and not yours!
    So for example :
I build a special Navcore version or a good fullbackup and leave it to this service ,than I get nothing (not even the few RS points) and they cash in on my files.
For most people this no argument ,but some it pays of
    a) to know where the files are
    b) to be able to check if they are are still active
    c) to be able to secure the links in the way they think is the best

So I would say this service is only good if you don't care what goes on with your links....

yeah fair enough. I understand if you put effort into things and people rip it off ...
But like you said, if its just a map or something, its useful i guess...

DU, can you tech me or others how to implement this redirector thing, so it keeps your files alive/active ? (if its not to long) Sorry if you have to type an essay for it lol

Although most of my files are from other sources so I don't really need/want to protect them, just share it and create more sources for download.

Just go to any link protector site - use Google to find them and copy your link into the field ,klick protect and done.
I prefer because you can register for free and control ,add remove links at any time.
So let's say RS deleted your file you go to your link list ,change the dead download link for a new one and you don't have to edit your posts in the forum because the redirector is unchanged

It is really simple to use and you can select a captcha ,password or even enter a website address to protect your links.

Works ,but you should use the captcha image as well - to protect you link from being collected...
