bigecb .. mate the program looks GREAT and it works just need to road test it now ... now i have to just try and keep it update THANKZ MATE :-).. i will roadtest and report back prob on weekend... when im looking for a updated map when they out what sort of map do i look for???

cantgetaround the only problem with 8.0 is that is older software and I am not sure that new maps will be available for this in the future. If you can try to update your unit to 8.3 but I think you should play around with the IGO 8.0 and get accustomed to it.

I think IGO is the best

i have got the igo8.0 working fine on my wince 4.2 from bigecb THX

Igo v8.0.0.44366
Australia R15dot1 Sensis ( 081027 )
Basemap 2007.07 ( 080117 )

leaving this as 8.0 is there an update for the 8.0 software and are there new maps for this aswell...

Have you tried IGO8.3? download it from Hollowman thread...back up ur SD card and format it..

use this simple sys.txt to get u started..

[rawdisplay]
screen_x=480
screen_y=272

[gps]
port=2
baud=4800

[debug]
skip_eula=1

[interface]
maxzoom2d=6000000
show_exit=1

you may need to change display, port and baud rate according to ur unit..

Download latest 2009 map

ok cantgetaround sorted hollowmans igo8.3
whats missing is your 480_234 resolution in the data zip
so what to do is put igo8.3 on a sd card
open igo8 and delete the data.zip and the branding.zip files
download new data and branding zip files

rename files to data and branding and copy to igo8
copy and paste this simple sys text to sys text file

skin="ui_igo8"
resolution_dir="480_234"
vga=0

[rawdisplay]
class="landscape"
screen_x=480
screen_y=234

[debug]
skip_eula=1
enable_roadshadow=1

[map]
auto_nightmode=0

[tts]

copy your maps,poi's etc to the content folder
don't forget the yfautorun file

with your info i was ble to get igo 8.3 working on mine too, but i seem to be having trouble saving my settings, when i exit and then start it up again, all my settings are gone..

managed to fix the saving issue by adding auto save, this is my sys file and works fine for me

igo8 not saving, was just after some general help, but looked through the sys.txt file in my copy of amigo and found that command and it seemed to fix it

i got the igo8.3 from hollowman working with the sys file change but i cant figure out how to stop the navagation, i have used it once so far ( about 1 week ago ) but it keeps saying i need to turn and so on, how to stop navagation ???
