Default GO720 issues with TT Home?

This is the first time that I have upgraded my TT GO720, all seemed to have upgraded fine to Navcore 9.026 and Aus Map v840.2562 although I have a problem connecting to TT Home I keep getting the following error.

ERROR: 573/# Error from server: You have an invalid version of the TomTom application installed on your TomTom device. To use HOME you need to install the correct version of the TomTom application.

Am I right in thinking that because I upgraded that I will no longer be able to use TT Home?

Also, can I use TT Servives with this device? I have never really tried to use TT Services but since upgrading I tried but it keeps coming up with an error when connecting.

For the TT services you need a paid subscription or for Google at least a working GPRS connection (and supported by your phone and provider).
For the Home error :
open the ttgo.bif with an editor and change the values of the two application version entries to the last official Navcore version.
In your case to 8351 for the first number and 9982 for the second number.

If you are using a V9 Navcore you can't have these values in there.
But anyway : safe as ttgo.bak and your Home error should be gone.

I'm sorry Downunder you have me a little confused. You are saying change the two application entries in my ttgo bif file to 8351 and 9982?

I opened the bif file in Notepad and the two entries that you said to change already had the changes so there was no need to change them. Am I understanding you correctly?

Now you say that I must safe this file as a ttgo.bak file?

i think what he means is that ttgo.bak is a backup of your original ttgo.bif file...
so open ttgo.bak with notepad and copy and paste what ever is in that to your bif file...

(i hope thats what du ment lol)

The ttgo.bif is generated at every start ,so as long as you have the values for the 8.351 in it you can simply save the file as ttgo.bak.

Or rename it ,just make sure to have to 8351 values in it and the filename is ttgo.bak
