The firmware you posted will not work at my device. I open it. There ist a sticker with 82AV3********** on the motherboard. Have anywhere the Firmware 82AV3 + menu and Apps ?

What a helpful forum........ I've been wondering about changing the bootup image for a while now !!

Also, I was wondering about what replacement software there might be available for Windows CE6 devices as although iGO8 I have installed works perfectly and is simple to use, the other stuff for playing music and video's is a bit clunky and I wondered if there was any other replacement front end GUI's to replace the chinese efforts around ?

My device had a screen like the very first picture in post #1 but I edited the XML file to remove the unwanted icons and space them out to give me the best I could get, but the apps themselves are clunky... any help is much appreciated..... this forum is a little goldmine !

but i think my problem is battery.it seems not to hold charge.I have reinstalled firmware but it works only if attached to wall charger.as soon as i plug it out it shows battery depleted sign and just like your unit the screen starts flickering.i had a look inside the unit, the battery is soldered and there is no hope of replacing it.I don't even know it is battery itself or charging circuit has a problem.

Anyway please keep me posted if you find any solution.

Hi.

I have a GPS no brand. After Installing MioPocket, I wanted to go back to factory defaults. The inside board had a sticker with the following information:

MODEL: YG-902M-BFISJ-2G-4LS-5LS
os: 0.2.0-100202-ospo.2g
ap: v1.2.11.10.04.01

I tried the firmware posted by Hilocki, after appling the first step my unit now is bricked.

If I press power button, nothing happens.
If I press reset button, nothing happens.
If I connect the unit to computer, MT3351 is detected, prompt for drivers.

Any ideas?

I extract either to flash either to sd but program says Unable to Load YFUUID.dll. I am sure I am doing something wrong....

Just delete YFUUID.dll from directory with programm and run it again.

Now i´m experimenting with Ndump because i had to buy the same PND again for a friend.

I extracted all partitions, but one file has 150MB, and the device has only 128MB RAM, so in the bootloader's blue screen, it stops in the first step, when the loadinh bar of "read" is being displayed.

Any idea?

Also, i wanted to export registry and try to load a copy in the bricked device renaming the file to cfgpf5.cfg, but bootloader seems to have file size limit.

Any utility for doing this?

for registri use ceregedit,connect gps in mode activesync,start cregedit,connect with gps,export reg
the file who have 150 MB is ResidentFlash2
