| Super Moderator | New to the N95 8GB, have downloaded the files off rapidshare and installed them. This is a NEW N95 8GB I just picked up off of 3 today. So my question, in tomtom gps config it only gives me 2 options, both bluetooth devices. One is tomtom bluetooth and the other is, well "Other blutooth device"... Do I need to do something to turn on the gps in the phone ?? Anyone ?? Tar Last edited by TomaHawk : 12-08-08 at 09:46 PM. |

![]() | You need to change the preferences every time you start tomtom. It won't remember that you were using the internal GPS. It's too much mucking around .... get rid of it and use Garmin or something else. |

I just installed Garmin on my N95. I also have TomTom installed using built in GPS receiver. Garmin kills TomTom in every aspect, especially in reliability and sat locking. I can actually use my N95 as a 'reliable' GPS with the Garmin software. TomTom definitely gooooone.

What you need to do is: Once you have generated your software unlock code open notepad Paste in the code and save the file as sw.unl To unlock the map: If you're using the 2009 map you'll need to select <custom mapset> from the keygens dropdown and enter 358 into the popup box. Once you have the unlock code open notepad again Paste in the map unlock code and save the file as gmapsupp.unl Copy both of these unl files to your mem cards Garmin directory and restart Garmin. ![]()
