I'd say v6 is better for those of us who can't have their PDA to work with v7.
Otherwise, v7 is newer and therefore better.

Short test around Brisbane and I am happy... Can not say for sure which Map version is more accurate at this stage.

Some of the extra custom features are nice, and the fact that all my POI / Voices and other TomTom addins still work is great.

You can install custom POI files anyway. I didn't rely only on v6 POIs as well.

I cannot believe how much faster TT7 is over TT6, it is alot better working on my Asus 636n.

I just bought this :

New GTop Ultra Slim 51 Channel Bluetooth GPS Receiver - eBay, GPS, Electronics. (end time 30-Jun-08 19:29:30 AEST)

My old GPS receiver died weeks ago, so I'm dying to try out TT7!

Default Speed Cameras

Hi Guys,

I installed version 7 and the Aussie map on my iPAQ PDA and it works fine thanks to you guys . I gave it a try today but it does not contain the speed and red-light cameras as version 6.

I copies all speed_camera.ov2 + speed_camera.jpg files (dated 15/3/2008) to the Australia map directory but it did not work. Can I get some help please?

I would like to know how I can include the speed and/or red-lights cameras into the version 7.

Thanks

I noticed this too...apparently they should appear when placed in the map folder, but it's not working on mine either.

Will do!

Nah it's just a standard Bluetooth GPS receiver. I wasn't aware of any GPS receivers that take SD cards...what gets stored on the card?

Some of the sd gps receivers have a sd slot so you dont loose the slot to the gps but never seen a bluetooth one with sd .

The v720 aus map is ****ed...my street is 12 years old and has been in all the V5 and V6 maps...its there in the v700 map but not in 720!?! WTF is with that?

Maps going backwards...well done Sensis!!

I'll need to check the 715 map to see if its on there.

i'm going back to version 6, can not get speed cameras or red light cameras to show unless you have planed a route, gps is off by at least 20 meters compared to ver 6, it has some good features but overall not worth it unless you can get it to work 100%
