| Senior Member | Having problems as well Using PDA2k with no Tom Tom on board. Installed the cab file directly on the device. Started TT which puts me into a "download a free map routine" which prevents me from getting the device ID, I also tried my nominated/user settable device ID which was incompatable with the keygen. Suggestions please gentlemen. |

OK I have reread the instructions and found the device ID from the bif file. Used the instructions for adding my device ID but unsure where to find the patch file and exactly what to do with the dct file?

![]() | That's is correct you transfer the map folder back to the sd card. Im assuming you followed satboy's post #19 to do the keygen. That worked for me. |

| Junior Member | Help. I have downloaded all the files that are required but can't seem to get TT7 to work. I have tried extracting the cab files directly to my pda but then I can't install it once I have done this. Do I need to have an earlier version of TT for this to work? Sorry I am new to this so there is a good chance that I have missed something or done something wrong. |

| Junior Member | These are the files that I dl, _setup.xml 000CAB8A.999 000CAB8B.001 000CAB8C.002 000CAB8D.003 000CAB8E.004 000CAB8F.005 000CAB90.006 NAVIGA-1.000 This is for qvga-black, the other two files are similar. I take it these aern't the right cab files. When I press on any of these files on my pda it tells me there is no application associated with it and to run the application first. |

As scotsman suggested you should copy the cab file from your PC to PDA and once it's there click on it. Installation will start. Your mistake is, you extracted the cab file at your PC and then copied extracted files to PDA, you can't do that.

![]() | OK I realize that but the PDA uses a file to load TomTom onto the pdas internal memory but I need the TomTom.exe file to boot it from the sd Memory card. I might not have been clear enough. ![]() |

Ive found that TomTom writes to a file on the device rather than the SDcard and on my PNA that area doesnt allow writes ![]() So until TomTom can run 'fully' from the SDcard then IGO8 is the way for me
