Tom Tom v7.451.9033 for PDA available in the usual places (12meg) and works a treat on my Mio PDA...

You will need the latest TT8 KG and if you then unzip the folders and place you device ID in teh right file and copy across you meta files, it is a simple process to then have you Map dic file activated..

NOTE: Installs on to you device only.... NOT your SD card.

look for this file "ttnavigator.bif" on the root folder of your SD card
if you see it, connect with your computer then copy it to your computer,
open this file with notpad

you will see this, on the 5th line you will see your deviceUnqueid=

if you cant see the ttnavigator.bif
start tomtom once again, there will be some error on maps, close tom tom then look for it

Copy these three files on your storage card from the Australian folder

Australia-14.meta.dct
Australia-14.meta
Meta.txt

to your c drive, and to a folder you created , put the tt7_keygen.exe from the crack folder in this folder as well (I recommend C:\TTN7 for an easy use)

6) Open a command prompt on your pc and navigate to this folder,
do you know your dos commands? to get out of folders enter cd\ then enter,
to get into folders, cd TTN7 for example will get you from the C:\ directory to the TTN7 directory C:\TTN7

7) Execute the command

tt7_keygen.exe “path to the *.meta” “XXXXX-XXXXX”

where XXXXX-XXXXX will be your Device ID found before

Example:
tt7_keygen.exe “C:\TTN7” “XXXXX-XXXXX”

If everything succeeds, the patcher should return an "OK" message.

8) Now copy these files back to the Australian folder
9) Open TTN7
10) Enjoy!!!! hopfully you done it , if you didnt then your a dumb ****

if youhave problems add me to your msn trevx34@hotmail.com

To update tomtom or map Share

Prerequisites :
* Have a PDA with TTN7 repack3 installed (maybe on Device to be easier for the following)
* Have a computer with the latest ActiveSync (only test with XP Pro SP2 and SP3)
* Have a map V7 activated

First step : On the PPC, pluged in or not pluged in to the computer
1 - Start TTN7
2 - Go to the menu "Map Corrections" and then correction preferences
3 - Choose options you want - I choose all 4 first on 6
4 - Validate everything
5 - Exit TomTom

Second Step : On the computer, PDA plugged and ActiveSync connected
1 - If you install TTN7 on the Storage Card, copy and paste your "Navigator" directory from storage card to the device directory name "Program Files", so you will have "/program Files/Navigator/"
Ps : I haven't done this cause I install TTN7 on my device - please tell me if necessary.

2 - On the SD root, delete (or rename) file ttnavigator.bif, don't be affraid, it will be recreated at the next launch..

3 - On SD, in the Map directory, delete this files (if exists)
SeverLineIdndex.dat
ServerNameIndex.dat

4 - Download TomTom Home v2 for PNA like GO ,ONE, XL and not the TTH1 for PDA !
5 - Install it and Start it
6 - Wait for the connection with your PPC
7 - There is 2 options - Choose SD card
8 - And now you could download updates for maps, voices, cars, rasters and more !

That's all !
I've recently bought a PNA from Hong Kong and i am not sure what to use for the “XXXXX-XXXXX” (device id) field in the Keygen statement

My PNA provides a SWID (DEVICE/CARD) code which consists of 32 characters in groups of 4 separated by a minus sign.

What should I use for the XXXXX-XXXXX ?

The first 10 characters of the 32?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Don

Puca,

Thanks for your response but i've tried your suggestion and still get the msg "Activation Failed ........ this is not the correct activation code for the product "Australia" " when I start up TomTom.

Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Question Advice neesed

I am really grateful for the excellent posts in this thread. Thanks to the contributors to this thread I have successfully 'upgraded' to TomTom Navigator V7.45 with the latest Australian maps. It is great on my Axim X51v with WM5, but I have a problem that I hope someone can help me with. With my previous version 6, when selecting a destination, I could click on contacts and access the address details of people on my PDA contact list. The option is still there with V7 but it is greyed out and I cannot select it. I'm wondering if this has something to do with the way this version was installed? Following the installation instructions, the exe file is located on the SD card, whereas with V6 I think it was on the device.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi DonA. I'm new to this forum but I just got it working using the straightforward instructions that come with the MegaUpload download link provided by DR-Death above. Cheers.

Default Which dll's?

Thanks everyone very much for instructions on how to get TTN7 running on my PDA (iPaq rx5965) but I am having trouble with the sound.

I know that there are 2 dll files which need to be renamed but I can not find which ones there are and what they need to be renamed too. I have searched for BTCore in this post and can only find that there is 2 files that need to be renamed.

Also I am having trouble linking in to TomTom Home V2. I am following the instructions by Trav_34 and TTHv2 just won't see my iPaq??? Any ideas on this one?

I don't remember which two files I renamed, but one should be enough. Find btcorelf.dll in windows directory and rename it to btcorelf.old. Then restart your PDA and test audio.

Question Maps not displaying properly

Finally I got everything working, including contacts (my previous post). The only issue I have is that I seem to be missing the landscape features that were displayed in Navigator 6 - like rivers, water ways, forested areas, etc. Now the only thing that displays are the roads. Additionally, when browsing the map, the coastline is also gone unless I zoom right in and display the raster images. It's very disorienting for someone who lives on the coast!

All help appreciated.
