Default help with avcor8 and aus map 720

Hey guys i recently managed to get the aus720 map working on my tomtom one XL with help from this forum.
I downloaded the navcore8 through tomtom home and ended up with a usless tomtom i did however have my original sd card that came with my tomtom so i went back to map6.
I now do have the 720 working again with navcore7 thanks to other backups i made.
I folowed the links to the other forum to try and get map 720 working with nav8 howerver im not to good at all this file changing stuff and the broken english used to give instructions has only confused me more is there any one who has made this fix work that could re write the instructions for tomtom oneXL? i have a HUGE HEADACHE now

Installation Instructions for

Device: Tomtom One XL
Map: v7.20
Firmware v8.010.9369

1) Download and Install v8.010.9369 Basic Pack to tomtom.
anonym.to - free dereferer service

2) Download and Install new working patched ttsystem v8.010.9369 to tomtom.
anonym.to - free dereferer service

3) Download Tomtom v8 keygen
MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

You have to use the new v8 keygen to repatch your serial number for the new v8 system so it will recognise the v7.20 maps. Since it looks like you already know how to do this.

Which version of tomtom home are you using?

I'm using the latest TomTom Home V2.3.1.92 and have no problem conecting to TomTom and getting the updates. Infact since undating to v8 navcore I find updates are always found and its now nice and quick to update.

Where as before it used to take ages to get updates and sometimes just sit there looking for updates but not get any.

I did 1, 2 and 3. couldn't get the map work. since it didnt recognise the map i couldn't have a look at navcore 8 either

when you say keygen do you mean runmeforallautomatic application? (that didn't work on XP by the way gave errors, only worked on Vista)

do you need to follow steps 1 and 2 of runmeforallautomatic? what is the order? do you put everything on sd card then do runmeforallautomatic 1 and 2? or first put map on sd card do runmeforallautomatic step 1 then put navcore 8 and do runmeforallautomatic step 2?

When I try to patch ttsystem it says it's already patched!!! I have tomtom one v2 which ttsystem should I download there are 8010 and 8011 on Navcore SE 8.010.9369 for old Devices. or this ttsystem is alrady patched for old systems?

spent 3 hrs last night looks like another 3 is ahead of me

Yep, this is the exact same home version i am using. home keeps telling me i have an invalid version of the tomtom application installed on my device. i am running navcore 8.010, it appears to work well on my tomtom so i dont think i have missed a file.

The other issue is speed cameras. used the keygen etc, it created a dct file, put that in my map folder in my tomtom and it cant see it. cant seem to get a resolve for these 2 issues, any ideas welcomed

downloaded 1,2,3 again and realised your 2 and 3 are different than I have. 3 actually says tt7 keygen in cmd prompt.

i'll give them a go.

1) The Keygen is "tt8_keygen2.exe" you just need to run the tomtom v8 keygen manually from the command prompt. It worked in in XP fine for me.
EG tt8_keygen2 <map folder name> <your serial number>

2) Navcore SE 8.010.9369 is already patched just need to installl over the one already present on your tomtom.

if it's under C, is it going to be tt8_keygen2 <C:/Australia> <ABCDE12345> ?

I have tried steps 1 & 2. My tomtom 710 just freezes at the start up menu. I am very new at this and have read so many posts that I'm confused. Can someone PM with idiot instructions.

Thanks in advance.
