Unrar then pick out the ones you need and put them into iGO8>content>language folder. kochimurali TTS on R3 via the JM TTs files should be strainght forward. I could only get the US versions to work. The UK versions seem to be too small they will test announce when you select them but then would not perform navi directions in simulation mode. I presume that you have started to install R3 from a R3 D/L rather than an existing R1 iGO8. From the JM D/L (each version US, UK etc), the 4 .dll's go in the iGO8 folder, the tts_loq folder also goes in the iGO8 folder and the voices go in the iGo8>content>voices folder. When to startup iGO8 you need to go to settings>regional then select the voice. If it test announces then it should be OK. regards

Rep Power: 5 ![]() ![]() | Folks, Megaduck asked skyrocket (ppcwarez) to c...k the version that he obtained with the AU/NZ map and here it is from Skyrocket. Download: Pass: srppcwarez Navigation software(patched) only - with empty Content folder Installation Instructions 1. Unrar the content of the archive onto your SD Card or device's internal flash drive and copy missing (Lang, Voice, Map...) files into the Content folder 2. Open SYS.TXT file located in your IGO8 directory and add modify it as needed (for users running iGO from SD Card no modification's needed) 3. Launch the application either from the File Explorer or create a Program Shortcut (using i.e. Totalcmd CE) IMPORTANT NOTICE: You may use this software for evaluation purposes only. If you like it, it is strongly suggested you buy it to support the developers. By any means you may not use this software to make money or use it for commercial purpose. Enjoy, SR All credits here go to Megaduck and Skyrocket. Yes as Jaz808 points out all the language files from R1 8.0.x will work with R3 8.3.x. I just thought it might be a good idea to provide a link in case some didn't have R1 8.0.x regards |

Rep Power: 11 ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey Guys I have managed to download all the files, combined all the info here and got it going on the Samsung i900. Placing it up on megaload as we speak - but will take a little while, check back tomorrow morning. I also place foreign languages on the rar going to megaload. I just replace the igo8 folder with all the files on the microSD card and worked a treat. f |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() ![]() | @mAestrO, Quick answer, No! Long answer. It appears that this map version does not contain any speed limit information, certainly in my testing so far I have yet to see a speed limit displayed anywhere around Brisbane or as far west as Esk on major highways. We will have to wait and see what details are forthcoming from the supplier. Cheers, Ian

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | Hey thx Jards88 Yep ... looks like a map issue ... are you running the TW version? If you are is it better than the Jan07 ... I'm on a mio C520 so wondering if the TW version was compatible. Cheers |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() ![]() | Folks, Not that I want to confuse anyone but here is a replacement link for the TW_8.rar file that HOE provided in an earlier post in this thread. This D/L is the same as version as the one I posted in the earlier post but it has a 2577 folder which allows for auto install via an SD card. This again however has no language, voice, map or other content it. I suggest that this be sourced and loaded into the correct folders before installing via the 2577 method otherwise it will crash just after the install completes. This effectively is the same as what freakee1 has uploaded but if you can't handle the 280mb D/L and already have the 8.3 AU/NZ maps then this is another option. All you need is the langauge & voice files from iGO8.0.x. Beware that the 8.0.x TTS files do not behave well with 8.3.x & they now recommend 128mb devices for robust TTS performance with 8.3.x. regards |

Rep Power: 24 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The TW version needs 480 x 272 files, to run on a Mio C520, you can extract the files out of the Jan07 version, then delete everything expect for this file structure ui_igo8 (folder) 480_272 (folder)(contains all the files) Now drop the ui_igo folder on the the Data.zip folder from TW WinZip 11 wouldnt do it right, but WinZip 8 and 9 does Or you can unzip these files / folders and drop them on the Data.Zip for TW PS speed limits dont work in melb either, on both iGO8 Jan 07 or TW, as we know its in the map and not the software |

Thanks for your help, I have done exactly what you have instructed, but still in vain. Maybe I have got downloaded the wrong version from ppwarez, if you get a chance could you pls upload the tts files needed for igo8.3.2 for aus and also does the resolution matter? because I am having a gps with 480x234 resolution!. Otherwise just provide a link for the tts files, no hurry because I have reverted back to igo8.0xxx at the moment using R15.1 maps, which is working fine with new speed limits and tts works fine. I tried igo8.3.2 but as you know there are no speed limits showing and also the tts not working is annoying me (because I could not get it to work). Thanks again for your efforts we really appreciate your work. Have a nice day! Cheers.

Rep Power: 5 ![]() ![]() | Guys, A lot of people are saying that 8.0 TTS voices work on 8.3, yes they do but they can be sub-optimal for various reasons. NNG did release TTS voices for 8.3 and they work great. (the US ones anyway). The 8.0 ones that are on the forums are usually the ripped Tomtom versions. Look here and follow the instructions given by Jetmouse, I managed to get the US ones working without any trouble at all. The US female voice works just great no mispronunciations and annouces road names not numbers on the AU maps. I am running them on a 128mb PDA which I think helps given that they are recommending 128mb. The 8.3 TTs voices are a lot bigger than the ripped 8.0 ones and have a lot more commands in them. regards |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() ![]() | Folks, Been playing with a modified version of the standard TTS susan voice from the JM 8.3 TTS post above. I have two versions one with volume=100 & one with volume=120 (not sure if this is valid but it works). no password You will see the versions with .v100 & .v120. They are both zip files when you take off the .v100 or .v120 extensions. Go to your iGO8 voices folder & rename the existing Voice_TTS-loq-eng-us-f1.zip to .old or something else (.sav or .orig or delete it etc) then copy one of the new ones from the DL into the voice folder & rename it to Voice_TTS-loq-eng-us-f1.zip then load iGO8 & go to settings>regional & select the Susan voice & it should do the test announce HANTDC (have a nice trip drive carefully) If you have TTS setup already but have not got the US Susan TTS voice then just copy one of the new ones from the DL into the Voice folder and rename it as above. To test them you need to set a route then do a simulation or test them live. I think the .v120 is a bit louder than the .v100 but it's hard to tell. regards Last edited by dazza60; 14-03-09 at 09:59 PM. |
