I've downloaded iGo (not Primo) along with the Aus Map and DEM data that Bazzle has uploaded recently with the emulator. It works a treat but dosn't have the base map. Is this an issue at all? I did notice when I run this on the PC that the default location is Sydney and there is water visible for the habour but as soon as you get the the ocean there is nothing. Same at other coastal area.

To try and rectify this I downloaded the base map using the folloiwng link:
. There are two base maps and I've downloaded each of these (the one from johnch121 and scanner1). After downloaed, one at a time I have copied this into the igo8\Content\Maps directory and started it up. The problem is it freezes iGo during the startup process. Bottom of the screen reads GEODB INITDBFILES. I'm assuming that the problem is the licencing of this map is not available (I believe each map including the Base map) has it's own licence. Any ideas how to resolve this or if my assumption about the licence is incorrect then put me in my place

    Hi Bazzle,

Maybe you can help? Just over a year ago I bought a Kogan G3 EziNav GPS the original unit came with iGO software installed but the unit went faulty and the replacement GPS came back with SYGIC software. Can I install the iGo software on the unit and if so how do I do this, your advice would be much appreciated.

    Thanks Kopie

    Schaffer

    Base map not require.
One you run it with an aerial it will find position and will save that point for next load.

I use both - have an SD chip with Navteq for Country driving (more side road I.D.), and one with Sensis for City (more signposting)

Or if you use the right skin just use map changer, that way you don't need to swap sd cards or even close down the program.

Bazzle, I noticed on another forum that you said you have MapChanger running well after a few gliches.
I've tried following a couple of "How to's" but just can't get it operating, such as what do we Aussies call the Sensis Map folder?.
In my sys.txt my SD is called "%SDCARD%"
Can you either PM me with how you did yours (What goes where, I'm also using GJ6.18p_da) or a "How To" here?
This is my first "Please Sir" in a long while!!
    Thanks - BlindPete
