    Default Navi-X Live TV Streams

Is it just me or do most of the live TV streams not work in Navi-X

A lot of them don't work, but a lot do
Do you look in the most popular 24 hours folder, and also the most recently updated? They seem to have the latest streams which usually work for me.
Also if you look at acestreams and have a good internet speed you will find all the popular streams there in great quality, sadly I only get a few that last longer than 10 mins before they buffer to death.

Until yesterday evening I have had no problem - then buffering to a standstill so I gave up. Not sure whether it is me or what.

EDIT: Just did a speed test - 1.8MB/s so should be OK. Will try later ...

Yea i always go through those lists and about 90% of the live TV streams don't work, shame really, would be nice if they implemented some sort of checking mechanism to remove ones that don't function. On the other hand i have had good luck with Movie streams.

No real problems here, but as mkhannah mentioned it can vary.

After a bit of fiddling with XBMC yesterday I have noticed that some things can work and not work dependant on your skin selection. Seems a bit strange, but after a few tests I have found it to be the case.

I reset my box the other day and reinstalled everything and could not for the life of me get USTVNOW to work. When I clicked on Live TV, nothing was there.

I changed skin, and they all appeared and worked perfectly.

I posted a thread a few days ago about problems I had with GoTV.....same problem, nothing there when I clicked on it. I never managed to find out the problem, but after some of yesterdays findings I am wondering what skin I had on at the time and whether it was the issue.
There was other one I couldnt get going that was skin related as well, but I cant remember which one. Anyway, nothing to lose by changing skins.

I find the best way of dealing with Live TV is when testing if they are any good save them as favourite. I have been watching History Channel Euro since I got my box and is still working fine, but some others have disappeared. But its fairly easy to find news ones as mkhannah mentioned in the 24 hour folder.

While navi-x might be top of the tree so to speak, it's not the be all and end all by any means.
In the last half hour I've looked at mash-up, which you might describe as the little brother to navi-x. In there are some live channels, in I-live about half are working as I write this.
The best alternative to navi-x might be sports devil. There is a tab in there for general tv streams with plenty of choices from there. Again, under I-Live are a stack of channels. I clicked on five random ones and they all worked, watching discovery crime and investigation at the moment.
Navi x is the best for quality and overall choice, but other addons like the ones I have mentioned are great backups.

No joy using the stock skin, might try another add on as suggested.

    Cheers

No message at all just like the rai italia you need italian ip like a vpn , dns won't work.

all you need is the hand shake, then you can turn off vpn and use your regular ip, me and few scene members working on off and on switch atm

Noted the other day, if box switched off with xbmc still on the menu, when restarted would not reload all channels etc, turned off, pulled plug (ala like my WDTV) count to 10 and reopen, then it would all reload and operate quickly. So in conclusion ensure you push the HOME button before turning off
There is a fine line between "Hobby" and "Madness"

I didn't know that's why some of them don't work - I assumed it was a dead link
