Default 3 Permanent Lock

Hi,

Just spent a while on the phone to 3 trying to unlock my phone(N95-8gb).

After ringing them twice, I was given the unlock code(which i kept), to unlock it.

After 2 unsuccessful goes, the lady told me that it had already been tried more then 3 times previously so it is now permanently locked to 3.

Is there anyway to get around this?
Also a while back I bought 2 sim card bypass, adapter unlock things.
How do I go about installing these? They are bendable and floppy.(Pics provided)

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Looks like this is a fix given you have the key now.

Wrong code n95 8 gb - GSM-Forum

I have no idea what flashing software you need but I guess Google or someone here might be able to help.

Here is the detail from that site

check the key counter first that it should not be 3/3

and enter code like this

power on phone without simcard
press #pw+ code given by us+7#

and if your key counter if full then do the steps as follows

just connect the phone with any flasher and read pm field 120 and open it in notepad
after opening in notepad you will see field 120 like this

[120]
0=
0000000000000000
5050600042465540
0018064300000000 --->> just change it to 00
0048000001FFFFFF
005C000001FFFFFF
0070000001FFFFFF
0084000001FFFFFF
0098000001FFFFFF
00AC000001FFFFFF
000000003F007F206F07FFFFF80000C003000502
000000003F007F206F07FFFFF80000C003000502
000000007FFF6F07FFFFFFFFF80000C003000502
000000007FFF6F07FFFFFFFFF80000C003000502
000000003F007F206F07FFFFF80000C003000502
000000007FFF6F07FFFFFFFFF80000C003000502
50506F
50599F
50506F
50599F
00101F
00101F
FFFFFF
FFFFFF

just change the yellow field 0018064300000000 to 00

and write again this pm to phone

and now your phone key count will be 0/3

Thanks heaps for the reply,

Stupid question but I have never flashed anything or upgraded firmware.

What would be a simple explanation or guide to getting into that menu?

Thanks again

Sorry but I have not flashed a Nokia before so you will need advice from someone else here or Google it. Reading between the lines it seems there must be one or more utilities that allow you to view and edit files on the phone.

Looks fairly easy you just need the utility, notepad and a cable which might just be a USB cable.

Can someone please help me out.

I've been googling for hours and can't seem to find a "utility" to look at files.

Just useless links.

Do I need the latest firmware? Cos I'm downloading that from Pc Suite atm.

Thanks.

Then have a read of this

Translated version of http://www.ruedumobile.com/dossier/13/flasher-son-nokia-n95-8-gb.html

The link to the utility is dead but you will find an active link via Google - look for NSS103812.zip

In case the monster link above does not work here is the shorter version again Google can be used to translate it if needed. Tutoriaux - Flasher son Nokia N95 8 Gb

I have Nemesis service suite newest version.

I can scan for my phone and pick it up, and find the pm
file but when I edit it and then write it, it doesnt change.

Also when i click on advanced features i get

Open Diamond...Error!

Can you give me a link for another program if possible?

Ive been stuck on this all day so any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
