Unlock Lg U880 (14/4/2008)

Does anyone know how to unlock a LG U880?

I am very new to this whole concept of posting on forums, although i really like the idea.

I live in meblourne, australia and I have a LG U880 handset that is currently locked to three.

I want to unlock it to be able to use it on other networks in melbourne (ie. vodafone or optus). Does anyone know how?

I have searched this site and others for it but all posts are outdated so their links and downloads are also outdated.

Hey mate
Yeh it can be dobe but evertime u turn on the phone u will need to press the emergency button then the phone will restart and it wont be locked! (until u turn the phone off again ) lol!

there was a new development made where you dont have to use the hacked firmware, however its still a mystery if the actual software is a virus (trojan) or not.

i thought that this had to be done by taking the phone into a shop to be done.
