Apple Iphone with the Telstra network

I've just been given an unlocked Apple iphone. The phone works fine when I insert my next G card but I am unable to access Telstras internet browsing facilities (eg getting the footy scores, weather etc). Does any one know how (if possible) to do this.

I've just found out though Telstra is going to start selling the iphone in June/July. Might have to wait until then. (Telstra's June iPhone launch points to 3G: News - Communications - ZDNet Australia)

It's from my work partner. I'm in the process of buying him out of the business. It was in response to me buying him a Tom Tom with European maps for when he goes to Europe in 2 weeks.

wait till next Aug or Dec for 3G/Next G iphone to be released
