have i killed my jasjam

well got carried away and updated with a Hermes ROM crc_r9 it ran good for the first couple of days now the touch screen does not work all side buttons function well if i leave the battery out for a hour it will work again for about 1 hour then no screen activity does anybody know what i have done and can it be fixed any help greatly appreciated

Sounds like you need a new touch panel, maybe its gettin faulty.

I had the same prob on a HTC, try this.

Get a posit note and fold it in quarters so you get a nice sharp corner.
Run the point under the screen edges and clean all the gunk out from the edges.

What happens is that all the crap under there puts pressure on the touch panel and the HTC thinks this is input.

Give it a go, you might be surprised.

yeah i tried that trick punxor read about it on xda site did help at first but gone back the same again
@ nokia man whats another touch panel going to cost

try to install the ROM again, which SPL did you used unlock the ROM on the jasjam, I used a ROM called TNT, worked just fine.

yeah i have tried several different Roms have gone back to the imate telstra v6.1 and still have same issue looks like it is a screen fault

Has it got a screen protector on it ? Remove it if it has.
