Default nokia 5070 security code / mastercode not work :(

hi, my 10yr old has done something to his $65 Nokia 5070 phone so that when I put my sim card in it the phone asks for security code. He has tried every code he thinks it might be but it doesnt accept it.

So I got a mastercode and it doesnt work either

I am guessing I have to get the phone unlocked via a cable and box or something ??

Im in Wollongong NSW if anyone can advise me?

Cheers

addit: my sim is on the same network as my sons but it wont work its as if his phone only likes his particular simcard, even though its the same provider etc..

I looked on his security settings and its set to "phone" whatever that means, and he cannot change the security because it asks for code which seems to be the same code it asks for when i put my sim in his phone.

Geez im confused

Cheers

"Phone" means it is set to one only sim, it doesn't make any difference which network the sim is with!
You only get 5 attempts to enter the correct security code otherwise it will need to be reset by cable.

Yep that sounds what he has done, he tried a dozen times to enter what he thought was the right code

Just curious can I just buy a cable and do it myself? The phone is only worth twenty or thrity dollars now anyway ??

You need a cable and box to do the job & if you've only got the one it's not worth it!
