| Premium Member | As the title suggests I have the wireless USB WPN111 RangeMax dongle. The adapter works OK, I have no problems with connection when it's up. The problem starts after my PC resumes from S3 standby mode. The adapter sees the network, but refuses to connect. I have to right click on the network connection icon and run "Repair" option. After that everything is sweet again. The problem doesn't happen all the time, but I'd say in 8 out of 10 cases I loose my Internet connection. In case it is relevant, I am using WEP128 bits encryption and the adapter connects to a Netgear RangeMax access point. The problem wouldn't bother me that much if the PC wasn't my HTPC in a bedroom. ![]() |

![]() | Have you tried going to Control Panel>System>Device Manager>Network Adapter then to properties then Un-check "Allow my computer to turn this device off to save power" under the Power Management Tab? |
