| Senior Member | hey all. I was wondering if it is at all poossible to have a USB nextg modem and use it in conjunction with a wi-fi router. My buddy has a nextg modem and an xbox 360. He needs some internets to his xbox. If I get him a microsoft xbox 360 wireless adapter, a wireless router, will it work? Thanks all.

| Senior Member | Thanks everyone. I will look into the nextg wireless router idea, and may have to give it a go.

| Junior Member | I have a desktop computer, Xbox and two wireless laptops all running off a Next G through a Belkin Wireless Router no problem. Share the internet connection of the Next G card and also have this machine hardwired to the router. Sharing it will automatically give it an IP address of 192.168.0.1, just make sure you change your settings on all the other machines to use sequential numbers and set the gateway to 192.168.0.1 and away you go. It works with Vista and XP machines on the same network and the Xbox. Remember to change the Xbox settings as well. |
