![]() | Hi All, I am trying to connnect my new Pc to my Linksys Router WRT54GL. I have plugged the ethernet cable in the Back of my Pc (Rj-45 Lan port) and I get one green light, which according to the mobo manual says I have 100Mpbs data rate the other led is not lit? On my router the 3rd port is lit up which is where I have plugged the other end of the cable in. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance |

![]() | Okay you know what they say, always start at the beginning and don't ignore the obvious. Went into the bios and guess what heaps of stuff was disabled including the onboard H/W Lan, enabled it and hey presto Windows picks up everything installs the driver and "Bobs your Uncle". Why the F#$K it was disabled has me stumped I would have thought it was a "Given" to enable these functions. Anyway you learn every day with this kind of stuff ![]() |

![]() | Actually Woodie, The Gigabyte manual states that Lan is by default Enabled, thats why I didn't bother checking it in the first place. ![]() |

Manual written in china, where board also made. Chinese not always get manual correct. What written not always same as what happen on board. Often find lan disable by default. No trusty trusty anything made in china. ![]() | |
