Default Can't Get Into D-Link :(

I have a couple (3)of D-links DFL-600
The routers all work but
I can't get into the Web setup page
I reset them back to factory default
changed my Ip addy's to play along
I can even get pings from the router
but when I put the addy in the web browser it comes up
with page can not be displayed

Any hints would be a great help as I have been at it all day LOL
I even phoned thier tech support and all they said
was if it pings it will open LOL (Indians)

I dont know why but at home I just need to type in the ip in the address bar like 192.168.1.100 BUT at work if I do this it shows web page cannot be displayed but if I type in http://192.168.1.100 it works.
Give it a try

after the rest ip would be

192.168.0.1

Enter user name (admin) and your password (admin).

what i would do is reset it then set a static ip for my nic

IP address: 192.168.0.2
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
prefered DNS: 192.168.0.1

Think they are all different with the d-link

from their support page on opening ports

which is why i suggest the setting of static ip ( i do on all my stuff anyway )

How to open ports Print
Step 1 Open your web browser and enter the IP address of the router (192.168.0.1). Enter user name (admin) and your password (admin).

Step 2 Click on Advanced at the top and then click NAT on the left side of your screen.

Step 3
- Enter the IP address of the computer you want to run your application from next to Private IP Address.
- Select protocol type (e.g. TCP or UDP)
- Enter the port box next to Port Number.

Step 4 Click Apply.

Because our routers use NAT (Network Address Translation), you can only open a specific port to one computer at a time. For example: If you have 2 web servers on your network, you cannot open port 80 to both computers. You will need to configure 1 of the web servers to use port 81. Now you can open port 80 to the first computer and then open port 81 to the other computer.

Note that the computer/device you are opening ports for should have static IP:
Under Control Panel > Network Connections > Local Area Connection > Properties > Internet protocol TCP/IP > Properties:
IP address: 192.168.0.2 (each computer will require a different IP)
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
DNS: 202.129.64.198 (or whichever your provider is using)

I am beginning to think that D-Link are not the greatest of units.

I have two DSL-G604T modem/router/wireless units here - both were brand new and bought at different stages - both of them have issues trying to associate with the ADSL signal.
The ADSL light flashes as per normal, locks solid for about 3 seconds, goes out, flashes for around 8 seconds then goes out completely. Then it starts this pattern over again.
At some random point it decides it will connect to the net and stay connected, but this could be hours later! Then, if there is a power cut or dropout, this difficulty in connecting starts all over again.

A DSL-504 (or any other brand of modem) connected to the same line associates and connects instantly.

Their support service is crap.

Do you mean D-Link DFL-1600 Router, or possibly DFL-800.

I cannot find much info on D-Link DFL-600

D-Link Australia & New Zealand - All Products

They seem to be more a hardware firewall

I am now almost sure they have Firmware issues
So now I am looking for a program that will update the firmware
But this is proving very hard

just incase
have you only have one switch/router plugged in at a time whilst trying to access the admin page?
my di-524 router (which is only a firewall and switch not adsl router) will not access admin page if i have 2 two of them plugged in at same time.
if running more than one of same router on a network u have to install one at a time then change default ip addy then intsall the next and give diferent ip to each router. and run only one dhcp server etc.
hih
treble

and maybe try boot safe mode with networking in windows (i presume thats what op sys u use), it might stop some gremlin program from blocking access. then try access admin page.
