    Default Network Advice

    Good Evening everyone,

I know I'm new but I have been looking everyone and I would have to be one of the biggest n00bs around when it comes to networks.

Anyway.. I have a netgear router/modem and I have 3 laptops and 1 main pc that goes through that to connect through the internet.

Anywho can someone tell me how can I go about it so the main computer can see everyone on the network and also see what and who is doing what across the network and the data they are using ?

I did a good search on networks but I found so much I got lost in everything can someone please take some time to point me in the right direction.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Etherape and Wireshark are great tools. The only issue is Etherape is only for Linux and Wireshark might have a wee bit of a learning curve if you're not all that familiar with networking.

Sure sounds like you need a Internet Caffe Software

And then you can do all that you said and then some

There is a few cracked versions around Antamedia is one that comes to mind

    Cheers

Please correct me if i'm wrong guys because I have never done this but I'm interested in setting it up. A windows server or linux server setup as a gateway / dhcp with the appropriate software could tell which computer is using traffic and which ports that traffic is on? ie port 80 = http?
