Default Ehernet / Norton

Hi again,

been trrying to sort this out for a while now and still the only way i can allow communication between my printer/scanner and my laptopn connected cia ethernet is when i "disable the firewall"

I thought i added the address correctly in the "allow" section on frirewall and plenty of searching but no luck.

Anyone go any ideas where i can start or had the same issue can assist me to fix this.

If you need any more info let me know.

Thanks
Daniel

I remove Norton off more computers than I care to think about. Why people insist on using it I don't know.

Clever marketing?

Ethernet is a family of frame-based computer networking technologies for local area networks (LANs). The name comes from the physical concept of the ether. It defines a number of wiring and signaling standards for the physical layer, through means of network access at the Media Access Control (MAC)/Data Link Layer, and a common addressing format.
