Default Aurora Settings Topfield 3000

Hi peeps,

I have a mate in Mackay (3hrs from me) that has a topfield 3000 and a Aurora card i made ages ago. Deets are still working on stb's here and he was/is not getting any card error messages but cant get any pictures.

He has now reset the box back to factory settings and whatever frequencies i give him dont get any results. I personally dont have aurora setup here so cant check what is working.

From lyngsat ive given him these but nothing.

A couple he has tried

Freq 12424 H
S/R 14294

12407 V
30000

12469 H
12600

What am i missing ? It has been too long since i have done it myself. Where can i find a simple list of what frequencies he needs to scan ?

Regards

Wad

Settings as i`m typing are:

30000- 2/3

I hope it helps.

Also make sure the correct lnb setting are chosen.

Cheers mate - ill give him those to try.

Since resetting his box he hasnt been able to get the signal back, LNB settings ive told him havnt worked so ive told him to get up and have a look at the LNB to see exactly what it is meant to be then we can go back to the frequencies.

Previous to reset he had 99 Strength and 98 Quality no has 0 / 0

Thanks for the input

tell him to try 11300 or 10700 and to make sure to select lnb power on and also choose single lnb. Unless its a universal.

Yeah.. go back to the basics.. get any picture & work from there

get the tuning page for Optus/ Fox help channel.

then at least you know all the settings are correct.

if nothing but decoder settings have been altered.. more than likely its the LNB settings as stated above. 10700, 11300, power etc..

12438 H 27800 3/4 = fox help.

In topfield 3000 ,should be a Ci cam reciever.Maybe he has a cam problem.for Ird.for Aurora, try a Fta channel to test lnb,at whatever lnb settings should still get something in sig strength if on sat.even 10% not 0?
Lnb needs swapping out for new or replacement or you have a co ax cable connection problem! either at lnb at dish, wallplate ,flylead,or connector to lnb in on box. a dead/failed lnb will give you 0%,a broken coax lead or connector will give you 0% also. This is most likely?

As an afterthought,I had a Topfield 3200ir sat.reciever before which i recall used to show 0% in setting sometimes because the lnb wouldnt Power on in settings. On reciever startup a small relay would click On inside the case on the Power supply, then goto menu an setting, select lnb freq. type an select lnb power on,Would work! an I get a colour signal bar an %.Intermitantly this didnt always happen,No click an no power to lnb regardless of changing setting an selecting lnb power on/off many times,Hense no colour sig. bar or % or pictures. This was a Definite Power supply issue with the reciever,
As I didnt have a circuit diagram with a full component count to work from,an advice to circuit bash this board,I ended up Bin the lot! Too time consuming.
