Question Lost Menu Items

Hi all,
Can anyone with a DM7020 please tell me if there is a way to list or
hide menu items . In the manual it lists to get to Software Update
Press 6 (setup) Press 6 again(Expert Setup) Press 3 (Software Update)
but on my 7020 there is no listing of software update, only Comm setup,
Ngrab streaming setup, Remote control, and Factory Reset. As the Pic shows.
. Also I cant setup proper time
in the settings as the only dates to select in the drop down year selector
are between 1969 and 1973, Maybe my Dreambox is just an old hippie type
who doesnt want to change LOL. But its a weird problem, Could
this be fixed if I update the image via serial port or USB with a USBkey
any input is welcome.
Cheers AA

what image would help as every image has its own setup.

if you were going to do a reinstall i would leave the one you have on grab a copy of flash wizard -plug my spare usb stick in and install a multi boot setup that way you can keep the settings you have and install many other images onto the usb stick then when the system reboots you just select which ever one you want

Hi AussieAnt,
If your only worry is the date pls do like this..........

Make the year 1973, save and exit.
Get back in again and magically you see 1974 available in the list box. Now select 1974, save and exit. Repeat this until 2008. Yes this has happened to me with enigma before, not very sure if it was gemini. I found that some scripts you download and install online can cause this behaviour. In short the image is most likely corrupted.
You could try PLi or SIF Team enigmas, which IMHO would be better. Keep a copy of the satellite.xml from your gemini for future use.

Tuxmate my problems seem to be escalting, Yesterday afternoon the 7020
started to lock up (freeze) when I went in to setting menu and had to
restart box by turning power switch off and on. this morning I bought a
500 Gig HD and installed it,The 7020 formatted it no worries, I connected
the box to the internet and could stream music OK. After lunch I turn on
the box and now it wont load anything , It gets to the first screen
which says loading enigma but does not go past there.! I have to email
the seller and see if there is some answer to whats wrong. This is very
frustrating as its my first attempt at STB installation and its not going very
good at the moment. Ive built computers before and installed linux on
them but im not sure how to install to a STB. is it like loading Avalaunch
on the xbox.I did that for my son years ago. but thanks for the advice ill
start searching and reading up on PLi and SIF.

Thanks AA
