Dishes? You meant sats didn't you? Pick a freq on a TP (transponder) on the sat you're looking for and aim for the sat. Good luck. Leroy | |

| Premium Member | I sure did ![]() If my understanding is correct (good chance it's not), to hit Intelsat-8 from Adelaide according to the select site. I would point my dish magnetic north (the north of my compass), turn the dish 34 degrees to the east, set elevation to 40.1 degrees and I should start seeing signal? Or do they mean with your compass pointing magnetic north, point your dish east and go 34 degrees to the right from there? Looking at dishpointer.com gives a completley different angle than the idea of pointing magnetic north and moving east x degrees, according to dishpointer.com i need to be facing almost south. When facing almost south my sat finder peaks in one certain spot every time, however i don't know what sat this is and i cant seem to find anything else in the general area. Maybe I should have been awake for those math and geography classes after all Last edited by nic55 : 26-09-08 at 11:36 PM. |
