Default two receivers one satellite

Hi all, been reading this forum for a while now trying to understand how everything works..

heres my question

I currently have a foxtel pace box with a VALID subscription to foxtel and i have just purchased a strong 4653x box from itechworld on ebay (waiting for it to arrive).
will these two work at the same time?
It is my understanding looking at this site: Optus C1 at 156.0°E - LyngSat that the satellite does not need to be moved if I wanted to use an optus aurora card for example..

any input on this would be appreciated

Thanks

FuX,

Yes, both can work simultaneously.

The best way to do this is to use a dual LNB, so each receiver operates completely independently.

You can not watch an Aurora channela nd a fox channel at teh same time due to them been on sepperate transponders of different polariatry, ie, one is horizontal and the other vertical. in a normal installation the LNB at teh dish can only "see" one polariaty at a time.

You need to get a dual output LNB and either run one coax to the Fox box and the other coax to the Strong, or, run both coaxes through a multi switch and then a coax off to each box, really much the same as the first option but a 4 port multi switch would allow for expansion of up to 4 boxes.

Or, option 3, a 2nd dish setup??

Hope this helps

Yes just loop from "LNB out" on the strong box to your FOX box. Turn off the strong to watch Fox.

You have two choices on that link.
1.

STRONG LNB LNBF 10700 DUAL POLARITY FOXTEL OPTUS D7

2.STRONG LNB 10700 TWIN DUAL OUTPUT FOXTEL OPTUS E1

You would need extra switching with the first.
The second is like two independent LNBs. Possible to expand to more STBs.

Kindest Regards,
