Hi everyone, is there a list of encryptions and what you need to buy to access them?

The majority of protected content is encrypteced via the Common Scrambling Algorithm. If you have the keys you can watch the pictures. That’s where the card providers come into the picture. Irdeto, NDS etc all have different means of delivering the decryption keys to the end user using proprietary smartcard systems.

The encryption is not the issue it’s deriving the keys. On the bright side some people would suggest the CSA key needed to view pictures is only six bytes long 255 255 255 255 255 255. I am yet to see anyone exploit that.

The stream key I suspect remains constant for some time otherwise ligit users would loose service while there cards where updated.

Yes also depends on where you are in Oz. Many people are receiving 68.5E Cband Multichoice Africa.

For some in the northern parts of Australia the Indonesion and some other satellites are available.
