Default TTDS not loading

I had my boys TTDS working beautifully, then I put some more games on it and now it wont load!
I tried reformatting memory card and installing drivers again. Put working games back on it and the screen just says Menu (in red) and wont do anything else. All files are seen in windows. Can anyone help me, cause my other boys R4 works a treat.

Thanks

hey mate
if you are getting the 'menu' in red , it generally means that the cart is found ok , but the menu file has not been found
your sys files and everything else are ok if you get that message , but just try reinstalling the menu file only on your micro sd and see if that makes a difference , also is it formatted to fat16 or 32 ?
Better still see if there is a newer menu file available form the site (menu.dat and tt.menu). I did notice that in the past I would get the same thing when I put new games on it , these were always quite large games , the menu system works in a way that it places smallest size roms to largest in order and this was sometimes causing a menu file to crash
ie
nds original cartridges range from 8MB to 128MB and larger these are based in typical binary way
which means it starts with 2³ = 8, 2^4 = 16 and so on. if a game is greater than one size, it's automatically put onto the next bigger one and the rest of the space is filled up with 0s even if the game is only a tiny little one
you can use something like ROMTrimmerand delete the 0's to shrink the game down
so yeah the older menu and newer ones can sometimes get confused about this , so just reinstall all menu files and see what happens
BTW if you strip games down like this remember to leave 512kb/game for a save file

clear as mud ehh mate

If its like the R4 or M3 then check/replace sys files, if the games are newish then you need updated sys files
Could even be not a clean dump of the game
