Default TT DS Tutorial

Hi All,
Just wondering if there is a step by step tutorial on how to setup tt on a ds.
I got the ttds pack from a computer swap meet for my young bloke along with a 4 gb mem. card. It has a Rumble pack, card and adapter for the mini sd card.
So I downloaded Moonshell 1.71 and ttmenu but have absolutely no idea as to how they are supposed to sit on the memory card or even if they are the right file.
Have google'd TTDS setup but not much help really.
Now when son calls me dad I don't know whether he's referring to the fact I'm his father or implying I'm as Dumb As Dogshit
Could someone point me in the right direction please? Would appreciate it if someone pm'd me and gave me their phone number (or I could supply mine)
so they could run me through the setup process.
Thanks,
seeu

Hi there, im not 100% sure but cant you go to their web site and download the files you need?
You could try these sites
DSTT Review - GBAtemp.net
Official Manufacturer Site: Welcome TO DSTT Official Website

first make sure you have formatted your sd card in fat 32
then your download should have 3 files
make sure you copy these to the micro sd
on the sd you need

TTmenu folder
ttmenu.dat
ttmenu.sys

when you have these all should be good in the world

Thanks for help guys,
I have TT Menu Folder and ttmenu.dat file on card but haven't got ttmenu.sys file
Checked in tt menu folder but it's not there either.

Also, when I unzip games, are files supposed be on the root directory of the card itself or should I create a folder to put them in?

the .sys file should be created when you first boot up the DS wit the dstt in it . do you have a question mark showing on the screen and if so what colour is it ?
it will not work without the sys file , but like I say it should create that one

hey seeu

in terms of the games they should be unzipped to the root directory of the memory card and not into seperate folders

woo hoo! With everyones help....... It lives and the games work too.
That sys file did generate once I booted.
Thanks to all for your help.

One thing that puzzles me is I got the rumble pack with the original kit and stuck that in prior to booting for the first time..
Did I need to do this or is the rumble pack for different games cos I didn't really see it mentioned much in the links I searched.
Anyway, son booted it up and is locked away in his room with a big grin on his face (happy as a pig in shit)
Cheers,
seeu

Nah the rumble pack is just for different games, not all games support the rumble pack.

smithster,
So will all games still play without rumble pack or is it needed for specific games?
My 12 year old seems to think it has something to do with some games vibrating a la ps2 controllers with car games.
I did notice DealExtreme no longer supplies the rumble pack with ttds. Am sure they did a while ago before the 3 months that they were out of stock for.

Yes m8, the games will run fine without the rumble pack. It is exactly as it sounds, just a rumble pack that you use on games that support the vibration feature.

cheers

sys file generated itself once i booted it up for the first time. (Just as you said it should)

I've even done a tutorial as a word document with screen dumps from go to whoa for when my 4 year old gets one for his birthday next month.
Thanks again guys.

I will have to put a disclaimer on it ensuring none of my friends think I was smart enough to work it out myself.
