dos question

copy x:\i386\ntldr C:\
copy x:\i386\ntdetect.com C:\

if i put these 2 files on a boot 98 cd and ran the above commands"x being cd drive"
would this copy those files to c drive?
idea is the os has boot problem and i know these 2 are critical

yeh, it should work.
if your os is xp, u can do the same by booting up the xp cd, then press r for repairs and type in those commands.
