Default making custom xp cd

where am i going wrong?
coppied files from old xpsp2 cd to folder
added folder(all i want) with sp3 standalone.exe, office,ect ect
used nero and make bootable dvd, i ended up with a dvd trying to boot to dos.
thats 2 goes ive had, what am i missing?

phil

are you trying to make a bootable windows with xp &sp3 intergrated as well as silent install for office etc.

or just a

dvd with all the bits and pieces on it

na not intergrated, as, my intergrated xp sp3 killed remote desktop on 8-4-08
ms timebomb job with beta sp3
couldnt remover it or run sp3 rc2 standalone.
so just want my xpsp2 with folder with sp3 standalone, programs.
cant trust intergrated when dealing with anything from p3 to dual core intel\am2 ect, think i just stuffed the boot bit.
1st go i trusted the boot from sp2 files, but its a cd
2nd go i ended up with dos stuff

use nlite to create the xp disc , then with the other programs put them in a folder in the root of the disc.But if you want i can create one for you.

There's an excellent tutorial here: Creating bootable Windows 2000/XP/2003 Disc (Nero 6) (Windows 2000/XP/2003) - TACKtech Corp.
on how to make bootable XP and other OS install discs.
Where you are coming unstuck is you are telling Nero to use DOS boot routines instead of the required system disk ones - which is all explained on that page including a link to the required image file.
