    Default Windows 8 Beta

Windows 8 first public beta was reeled a couple of days ago and I was wondering if it is possible to get a copy of it and if so where do you go. I have scoured the Microsoft website in both America and Australia and from what I believe is it only available to those who went to the BUILD conference.

Easy go to the link below

Then click on get started just below Download the Windows Developer Preview and start downloading the version you won't to test.

I've never downloaded it so good luck. I'll stick to Linux

Brotherbear - are you having problems with windows 7 that you need to go to windows 8?
I am using Windows XP , but I'm not a computer nerd and I can't understand why people need to upgrade all the time.
Same shit happens with Microsoft Office.
And then the upgrade Office person posts a spreadsheet using Excel2007 and I can't use it because I am Excel2003.

The world is STOOPID and I'm in it so I'm STOOPID too

I've just installed this and so far I'm not too impressed with it.

They need to make some massive improvements .. it's the worst piece of software I've seen for a long time.

It looks like Microsoft has taken a step backwards with this one.

Fantastic - as I'm with mickstv -> love my Linux distros to the extent it would take a monumental effort from microshaft to change my disto of choice!

They're trying to make Windows 8 an interface to compete in the Tablet/ Smartphone space (touch screens) that Apple is dominating, so far looks like their set to fail big time. Too far behind the game on this one...
