![]() | Could be your desktop template file is corrupt. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer and delete desktop.htt then right click your desktop and click Refresh, this will recreate desktop.htt. If you can't see the above file you will need to setup explorer Tools -> folder options -> view, and check show hidden files and folders and uncheck hide protected hidden system operating files. |

![]() | hmmm... tried it on another PC and the right click refresh did not recreate desktop.htt, could recreate it by changing the desktop background though. Try that first. This link used the same delete desktop.htt solution to fix the problem, have a read, maybe they explain it more clearly than I did. Active Desktop Recovery - Object doesn’t support this action A google search gives a few other possible solutions, but those with the problem either didn't say it was fixed or reformatted... they were reinstall the microsoft scripting engine, scan for spyware, check your Active X settings in IE, but nothing concrete. Are you actually using Active Desktop? Try disabling it/reanabling it. Quote:
