![]() | Ok so i have it just about working. After you login no errors anymore, background pops up, Wait about 40seconds then desktop pops up and everything looks to be working fine! This was after a few of the suggested Reg edits and removing some programs from the startup. Not sure why it has such a delay though. |

Is this a new problem after you reformatted due to the userinit.exe problem? Or is this what probably caused the problem? Your first mistake was to click on the pop-up, I very much doubt it was a genuine windows message, probably a pop up due to either some malware on your PC possibly due to either not having an up to date java or not keeping your windows up to date and getting infected visiting a dubious web site or running some downloaded application that has malware in it. If it is a new problem start a new thread in Security and Privacy - Austech as this thread is getting confusing with multiple posters and their problems. As a first step go to this site Malware Removal and Prevention: Overview - CastleCopsWiki and follow ALL the steps, reading the instructions and do what they advise. Don't stop early as you may have some other malware lurking. | |

![]() | Java is a programming language developed by Sun Microsystems where a program is written once and can run on many different machines, ie PCs, Macs and Linux . It is therefore often used on the internet as embedded applets that do things ie interactive weather displays etc. It is not as popular nowadays due to Flash doing similar jobs. If you don't have Java, it is probably OK, if you have a buggy old version of Java it might be exploited by maliciously coded web pages. To see if you have java installed and what version click here Verify Java Version to install: Download Free Java Software - Sun Microsystems |
