![]() | Hi, I'm here for help again...sorry. I have just churned from Westnet broadband, to tpg broadband, and I am now getting a windows message..It comes up randomly, but usually when I have not been at the pc, away doing something else.It sort of seems like a timeout thing? Ihave to click try again to keep working. It says... "no connection to the internet is currently available. To view internet content that has been saved to your computer, click work offline.Click to try again to attempt to connect.Work Offline Try Again" I can't recollect changing anything to do with syncronizing etc, and have searched around with little resolve.. Anyone wise on how to stop this annoying message? Thanks as always.. |

![]() | Sounds like Windows has taken over your internet settings and is wanting to connect automatically to it. If you go into Internet options and find your connection to the ADSL you might find that it's set to "Dial connection automatically when no connection is present". Ideally you want a simple LAN connection to your modem. |

![]() | Ah, ok - have you ever used a dial-up connection with that PC? Under the Internet Connection settings, do you have a listing for a dial-up connection or anything with a modem attached? Sometimes Windows gets confused and thinks it needs to dial the modem even when it has its internet coming via the LAN. |

![]() | Never had dialup on this one. I went into System/Devices and the dial up modem indicated enabled. I have now disabled that device, and maybe that will stop it? |
