Hardware Cam Info

Gday Guys

After looking for various information in the sat section today , I thought it might make things easier if we have a few general information " sticky " posts on a few subjects to make things easier for members and guests when searching for information.

This thread is Cam info , for those that are new this refers to a Conditional Access Module that plugs in to the front of a satellite receiver. A card is then inserted in to the cam module to produce pictures.

It would be appreciated if members could list what model and version hardware cams they have and what services they work with.

Irdeto access v2.3 CA (fat cam - No slot) as used in Nokia Dbox and Mediamasters works with I2.

Odd.... these things are cira 2000 ( PRE IrdetoII )

Sorry Beer4life , I am looking for comments from members as to what hardware cams they have and what services they work with. I am not looking for links to other sites or to replicate information from other sites to here.

Once enough members have posted , I will update my original post with the information and give credit to the contributers and delete the rest of the posts so that it is easy to read and find the information required.

Smit Purple Irdeto Cam
H:v1.22 S:v3.3.0
SC2.26D

It used to work but not anymore. It still updates the card but no pics.

According to Smit engineers apparently the cam needs a loader board to change firmware.

Flashed with Toshiba Tecra 8100 running XP Pro

Now reads :
Softcell ver:2.26B_hotfix_3-demux(sw ca). compiled aug 9 2006 19:19:01

Also

Purple cam P/N 904505 Rev 1.1 Softcell ver:2.21A

flashed to new 2.26B

Also have a CA cam 2.1b s/w 1.10c ( no idea if / what it works with )
