With the Twinhan DVB-S2 tried Selectv sub and it's exactly the same as for the Gamma a black screen with no pictures even though the irdeto
menu says it's descrambled. No go in ProgDVB
either with Selectv though I'm told they have been
tested to work on Selectv with XP SP2 which is the same as my OS.

My supplier sent me The Twinhan XP driver 20070930_Driver_V1.1.0.100 driver and it fixed my Twinhan 1034 AD-SP-300 DVB-S. I installed DigitalTV 3.3 and updated
the XP driver now it works in DigitalTV, Mytheatre
and Progdvb with both Selectv and Gamma.

Good to hear you have gotten it working pheggie!

After reading up on the fireDTV, and finding one quite cheap on ebay, Ive decided I am taking the pc as pvr route after all. Ive had so much DIY/MCE/PVR experience, the idea of me paying hundreds to buy something I already had sitting in my lounge became silly

Although the FloppyDTV cards is supported in MCE, im keeping FTA DVB-T in MCE and setting up the DVBS channels in the bundled app(based on progDVB)

The plan is for outputted mpeg2s to be a watched folder in MCE video library. It will be manageable as I am focusing on one channel only(setanta). The watched folder will actually be a hot swappable drive connected to my pc via e-sata. I did this purposely if i need to transport recordings to different friends house so as not to annoy the women of the house excessively during the Euros

Im just waiting on my setanta sub card it get it all going

Just so other people know I tried DigitalTV 3.3 with the driver pheggie gave me and still no go with the DVB-S2 purple cam and gamma. I also tried it with digitaltv 3.4 and with that driver digitaltv 3.4 would not start.

I think when you install DigitalTv it installs drivers as well built in to the software installation.
I am not sure how you've done it, I'd say install DigitalTV first, then just update the card driver, not other way around.

True but the drivers I gave ingxen aren't in a self installing exe they only can be installed by updating the driver. I'm thinking we might of got a bad
batch of CI-modules I sent my card back for testing.

Yeah I installed DigitalTV 3.3 and then device manager -> sound etc -> bda mantis card -> update driver with one from pheggie which is the only way to do it, so I did it right (I also threw a few reboots in there cause I know how windows loves that ). Like I said above I also tried with digital tv 3.4 but once u update the driver then try to open digitaltv 3.4 it says unsupported card or something similar.

It is strange that you cannot install the driver without DigitalTv.
Can you just remove and uninstall everything, then do "Add Hardware" and when it asks for a driver, point to the one you have.
Then you can try other third party applications.

Yes you are right, you can do that. I had done that with the latest BDA driver on Twinhan's website for 1041 Mantis last week and still didn't get descrambled pictures with the Smit purple 2.26D CAM or the other brand 2.26D CAM I had last week.

I didn't mean that you need to install the driver with digital tv, I mean't the only way to install the driver is through device manager or similar and manually update it (like pheggie said there is no install program for it). It definitely updates the driver as when you goto the driver properties it shows the new version. I wanted to install digitalTV as i want it to work in there as well.

A firmware upgrade on CI-Modules requires special tools so the supplier
is swapping the faulty CI-Modules over with new ones.

I can confirm the selecttv sub card does work with the FloppyDTV, and in media center as well as the other proggies.

As vista media center users are about to get more cards that support dvbs/2 in mce, I daresay this will up the ante for all dvbs card manufacturers to work on their bda drivers with bit more fervour

Im actually selling my FloppyDTV, it worked great, but ended up being simply not necessary for someone who is only going to pay attention to one sat channel! I have my arion STB feeding into media center via am Hauppage analogue capture card. Works super.

its up on ebay if anyone wants to have a squiz, will cost you $400AUD to get retail shipped from UK/Europe... nows the chance to grab it for about half that!

You can use the Azurewave card as a client but not a server. Saying that you can use other software on your PC as a server Newcs, greywolf etc with a card reader (jaycar, etc) off the serial port of the PC.

To use the Azurewave card as a client you can use Progdvb, mythearte etc as the viewer and you can use the wincsc plugin as the card sharing client. wincsc will not send emms onto the server so you need another client that will to keep the card updated e.g. dreambox, humax. wincsc is a little buggy with progdvb when i tested it you would have to disable then reenable the wincsc plugin everytime i changed channels for it to work but was ok with mythearte.
