| Premium Member | Quote: Thanks Superior, that update worked well with my blue 901275.I had to try 4 laptops before one would work. If when you insert the CI card into the PCMCIA slot on the laptop and it is detected as a "PCMCIA-MTD-002" then the sofware will not work on that laptop without a CAM adapter ( what ever that is ) Working well in my Humax and Dream 7020 now. I also tried a blue 901633 which would not work, does anyone know if the 901633 can be updated? Thanks ![]() | |

( P/N : 901633 ) NEC I-Chip Ver. 0.07B , softcell Ver. 2.06B , compiled 04/July/2001 , non-flashable possible only opening the cam removing and replacing the eeprom with one externally reprogrammed

You could just pick up any Irdeto blue cam to do the job for Irdeto 1. I'd be enclined to get a cam that works with your whitey in the event you need to kick start it or your strong gives up etc til another firmware upg comes along. Leroy

Purple cams seem to be the go. I've been using a Purple SCM 2.21a which 'kick started' cards. I think I saw telsat in Melb selling them on ebay. I have since upgraded the firmware to 2.26b on mine and haven't put it through it's paces as such I'm now hoping it still is as good as it was. I'd stay away from a 2.26d SMIT as they are having issues. Others will prob post experiences also. Leroy
