That would be the best part of this box

Super fast blind scan that finds them all with ease on C1/D3

Default I have one of these now

The skybox model and I am pretty impressed with it.

Paid $179 including express delivery from china [5 days]

The box itself, picture quality is surprisingly good for the money.

Card reader works fine, adjustable speed 3.57Mhz / 6.12Mhz, CI slot is fine.

CCcam as a client no problems, [even with multiple servers] but doesnt want to be a server.

PVR part is also great, plugged in a usb powered NTFS drive into the usb port and that was setup.

It also supports Newcamd connections via CCcam and also MGcamd.

    Anyway you have my thoughts

Symbol rate is not restricted in any way. It seems to cover the whole range

    Default skybox s9 hd pvr

Ive had mine for 2 days now. its my 1st sat box, 1st impressions very good. easy to use mine shipped with july firmware. no hdmi audio issues. pic on hd is great. ccam works ok didnt have much testing time tho. The remote is pretty bad but for price you cant complain. I jus need a cline to test the HD properly now.

Good day, am thinking whether to buy dm 800 or skybox s9 hd. For me dreambox dm 800 is too complex to handle,no blind scan etc but when I saw it working,no glitches,I dont know whether skybox too has good performance like DM 800. Thos who have used skybox please advice.

I have been testing all last night till 4am and all day today, still playin around with it even as i type

I done a lot of reading before buyin this box it seems most major problems hav been sorted with latest July firmware. Im more interested in the HD channels so thats all im testing at the moment.

The server you go with could make all the difference if you find someone local to you it would be better and hopefully glitch free. So far ive tested a few diff servers, some are quite bad very glitchy, peak times can affect it also.

The remote is quite annoying, EPG is just now and next, but the ease of use and pic quality will make up for it. Only slight issue i get some audio screech now and again nothing major and not all the time.

Im glad i got this box its cheap very easy to setup and works wonders and hopefully it will only get better with improved firmware.

    I hope this helps!

the skybox s9 works well for a unit costing $179 via china the old dreambox dm500 was costing around that when it was released no hdd,no hdmi,no blindscan, this would cost around $300+ if it was sold locally, picture quality via hdmi is excellent,CS works well no problems [internally] only a few hd channels working with the bluey.the vu-duo i got 8hd via the bluey.now i'm trying to get it working on network recording as i did with the vu duo.next week will be testing the vu solo

How about card sharing (CCcam) on this device?
I know, that it have a problems with DRE encodind (send 1 packet to server, receive an answer and then stop sending a questions to cardsharing server).
How about Viaccess encoding in card sharing?
