    Default Skybox DM800HD

    Hi
I just received my Skybox DM800HD from China today, can anyone tell me if they can be accessed by a Web Interface and if the image be changed, as I read somewhere that they don't use dreambox images ?

Thanks for your help and advice in advance

    Hi all,
Here is a great app for converting recordings from these boxes to TS and then to whatever you want.

    Cheers

    Hello, my first post...
When I configured my MGcamd and restarted receiver it showed: MGcamd plug starting..., connecting to "my server", Login Fail!

Why login fail? Is it a problem with lan settings? DHCP on - that's all it is to a lan settings, isn't it? or should DHCP stay off and all addresses should be entered manually?

Login details within MGcamd file are defo right...

Is there any way I can check if it's lan connection?
    Thanks!

You might be able to do so with Wireshark. This will at least show you packets back and forth from the Box.
Looks like you are miles ahead of me anyhow...i have a nice box sitting under my TV, i can tune in to Aljezeer, and Home Shopping - that is about it.

It started to work! Even with all "login fail!" - it works. All I did was I improved signal quality. In lan settings, DHCP on and that's it

Hi all, I am testing the Skybox S9 HD PVR , it is quiote good for the price , picture is not any worse than the dreambox , it does blind scan the fasted that I have seen,it as the best channel editing display and epg , also the channels change are faster than other boxes , its easy to use and the PVR on play back is the best , as for Example the mediastar it takes to long to load the USB , this only takes 3 sec and works every time,.
I have also tried CCcam also works , card slot I can't get it to work , but with cam it works fine. The MGCamd PLug Newcamd list its not working for me , this is whats Happening Go to Menu
    CCcam plug setting
    Manage config files
    CCcam.cfg
    Add and add to account
on the screen you will see the following
    PROTOCOL ...................................
    HOST ......................................
    PORT ......................................
    USER .........................................
    PASSWORD ........................................

in the dotted line you have to fill in the details with the remote control but in the line were it has host my line is more than 16 letters how do I fix this, has this only allows me 16 letters but I require 25 to put in that line.. this is the same thing for Newcamd configuration if you have more than 16 letters it will not work.
If any one has found a solution it will be great .

Are you sure it doesn't want an IP address here?

I think he means IP of the cccam server..
not Ip of your box which is (s you say) done elsewhere in network config

and as an ip is 15 characters including dots - I think he may be right

The problem you have wanting to enter 25 char and only having space for 16 can be overcome by creating a cfg file separately on your computer and enter those details on seperate lines.
Copy onto USB key and upload the file to the box, you will see the option in the menu.
I am not at home at the present time and wont be for another 3 weeks, I do have an example file which I will gladly divulge once I return home.

I'd like to know more if you have anymore info? I know you can stream 4:2:2 with a dreambox hence I just thought it's a software thing.

    Cheers,
